How loud can the bone stock 98 Civic stereo go? Can you put it right to the max without worrying about breaking the speakers or what? Get the little bars on the radio to go halfway or what? tell me how loud this stock Civic stereo can go... SAFELY.

What radio?

 

Its a bone stock 1998 Civic radio with a CD changer in the trunk. But everything that makes the sound come out ( speakers and tweeters ) are as stock as the steering wheel. Only thing not stock about the audio is the Alpine CD changer.

 

It just seems like such a "please hold my hand while I cross the street question" thats all. I mean ****, sometimes you learn from experience... How many people still have a stock honda radio anyway?

 

See I dont have enough money to experience breaking my speakers.

God, your such a frickin cry baby, waaa I need you guys to tell me how loud I can turn my radio up too.

How about this, turn them as loud as you want and if they blow, then go buy some $20 ones at best buy, and the next time someone asks this stupid question you will know the answer.

 

Do you have enough time to walk out to your car and test it out for yourself instead of wasting space and our time here. Let's estimate that your stock radio puts out maybe 15W RMS to each speaker and these speakers are rated to take 30W or so....then what you do is turn up your stereo till your speakers distort and then back off a little bit. And I doubt you will blow your stereo turning it up loud...and if you messed up a speaker who cares cause they probably need to be replaced anyway.

 

just turn it to 11. then it will RAWK and the CHIX will dig you bigtime!! i'm sure the stock stereo and speakers will sound like total **** before it gets loud enough to blow them anyway. i turn my stock speakers up pretty loud and they are fine. of course, i don't listen to very bass heavy music in my car, mostly just circus music accompanied with the sound of children screaming. boing boing boing
