30,000 Mile Valve Adjustment Needed?
Dealer mentioned it. I do do road courses and drive the car decently hard, but hear not clicking, etc. Idle is a little high but I beleive that is due to the cooler weather.
Do I need to get the valve adjustment done?

It's easy...your going to change your oil anyways...all it will cost you is about 12 bucks (for the blue seal and gap gadge). Do it yourself.
I am due for an adjustment as well, could somebody post a procedure with pics if available, I dont want to mess something up and blow my fugg engine on my new TypeR
Also where would I get those tools from, Local?

how do you do a valve adjustment
With practice you can do it pretty quickly. I can do mine in about 30-45 minutes (first time it took a while!).
Valve adjustment is part of my spring maintenance on my ITR
The absolute easiest maintenance thing to do, IMHO, is changing the tranny oil...I can't believe they charge more for this than engine oil change (labor).

I say we take a vote... All thouse for removing the search function since nobody uses it say I
I do a valve adjustment every 10k-15k miles. Keeps everything nice and quite. Every local auto shop should have the tools you need to do the adjustment yourself. And buy a helms if you're not sure about it
Arno-Who agrees with Asspenny about the search function

i recommend at least every 15K, 10K if you do it yourself or can afford to take to dealer every 10K. 10K is only if you do a lot of high rev driving.
