Just yea or no, I know people will say "swap in a b16" but i really have no want for a swap. Not worth it to me.

d16y8 vtec head from a 98 civic ex with chikara 4-2-1 black torque step header, Tenzo Short Ram Intake and filter, Plug wires, valve cover gasket,
valve cover, head, cam gear, injectors, manifold, throttle body and
complete engine wiring harness....has around 60k miles on head


i have a 97 civic dx d16y7 and just want a vtec. So is it worth $500 shipped to my front door


its $115 for shipping from North Carolina to a residential address so basically the stuff is $385...worth it?

60k is pretty high.

When was the header and intake added?

I would try to get it for something like 420-430 shipped.

i would shop around that header sucks and dosenot even come with a ecu. i found a complet d15 sohc vtec for the same amount of money.

$500 isn't too bad. Just change the header asap if you get it. Stock is better than what it has now.

 

I think that's kind of steep myself for what you are getting. You can usually get complete Y8 VTEC heads (comes with all the parts you mention) for about $200. Factor in that the Chikara header is a worthless **** chunk of steel, then $50 tops for a used Tenzo R intake. I would offer him $350-400 shipped.
