JDM Climate control install
has any one sucessfully installed one of these in a usdm rex? my stock panel is cracked to hell and rattles... a new one is like 300 from honda but ive foudn jdm ones cheep. Any problems in this swap??
i think the biggest problem is that the USDM temp control is cable-driven, whereas the JDM was some type of eletronic servo doing all the work. there are old posts about this but i dont recall if they ever found a solution.
you're not alone with the cracked panel

the actual **** to control the temp is cable driven
actually its not a plug and play...when i did my RHD conversion, the jdm harness has four plugs, plus one cable for the coolant valve...so the only thing that will acutally work would be the fan switch and maybe the lights..the other plugs don't match. I'm not sure how the others guys used them on the usdm cars, but i don't think it would be easy to do
