Default My Friend and Honda Dealerships are Not Too Bright.

My friend was having huge problems with the power in his 2000 Accord. He wasnt able to go higher than 3000 RPM and the auto tranny wasnt changing out of first. He went into the dealership and dropped off his car. They hooked it up to all of the diagnostic machines and stuff. They spend about 3 hours but they cant find the problem and call him to tell him that they dont know what is wrong.

He comes in and waits for them to back his car out of the shop. This kid gets in and steps on the gas and it shoots out of the garage at high speeds in reverse. He slams on the breaks and barely misses another car in the lot. Everyone in the place is wondering where the power came from, because it was just lagging down the road before. The kid gets out and they ask him what he did. He just said he got in the car, pulled the floormat flat and backed it out. Well the problem was that the floormat was bunched up under the gas pedal so much that he was unable to get the pedal down barely at all.

hahahaha, that's some funny ****.... Yea i know what you're sayin about some people at Honda... I go in to order parts every once and awhile... You say that you need like a "99-2000 Si rear motor mount bracket" and they say well which one... I say it doesn't matter and they're like yes it does... I get in a little arguement with them just because they are dumber than **** and act like they know what they are talking about... It would probably be a lot easier if i just said 99 or 2000 but oh well... hahaha I've had many other problems with them before.. Some of them don't think a CRVTEC is possible but hey whatever... That was the funniest, yet dumbest thing I have heard in a while.

I've had similar problems just like what you describe. I swear sometimes they are nothing but a bunch of parts changer. But I'm sure there are a few educated types in the bunch
