Rants about Sparco seat i installed last night
Well i Got my single Tourino and sporting my car hardcore style with only a seat and dash
well the damn brackets were a pain in the *** to get to work . they really make shitty brackets. . . well wedge does . it was all crooked, once it was installed it was fine , but ? the rails i had to cut the bottom hole off to get the seat to sit lower on the bracket becuase my knees were on the steering wheel . . . thne i took it for a ride and every time i dumped on it the seat flew back , it didnt latch at 1st. . . . headaches, i eventually got everythig working fine , but was a total abortion if there ever was one. the lever to pull the seat back and forth i have to rebend to fit across the 2 hook things. . . . . the seat itself is great, its just the mounting **** sucked. my fat *** just need to get used to the feeling of actually being held in the seat .On tight conering though it does hold like a champ.
last note to all doing aftermarket seats,. it takes time and patience to get everything to work right, but worth it in the end , it looks hott. ill post some pics later

Damn.. using Paragraphs and sentences will help us people read this early in the morning.
On a side note, make sure your seat is bolted down using all four bolts, and it doesn't have play. If it does, and you are involved in an accident, there is a big possibility the seat will pull away from the floorboard. I'll try to dig-up the article on this, but there is a definate safety concern.

I ended up selling my Torino with Sparco slider/Wedge bracket because it was too f-ing tall no matter what I did. I also chopped off the bottom holes on the bracket, and it was still a good inch to inch and a half above the stock seat.
And yes, it was a pain in the *** to install. And no, I was not happy at all, considering how much the bracketry cost.
Comfortable seat though. Never hurt my back like the stock seat did.

i'm glad i'm not the only one that felt like the torino sits high...
i was always under the impression that it sat no lower than my stock seat but i thought it was just me....

I didn't have any problems when I installed my Recaro, with Wedge bracket last week. You do need to cut off the first hole though
yea the freaking brakcets were an *** raping price wise.
but now in the top hole its still higher thna the stock seat, but not on the wheel as mch , so its tolerable. i just gotta get used to the feel of the seat compare to my itrs
they always hurt my back .
the seat is bolted in great and stable now , it was just a pain in the *** to do

If you could get rid of those damn U-bracket mounts, you'd be golden.

it's kinda late for you guys, but for those about to buy brackets...get the brackets from Jeff652 aka Hybrid Automotive. Should work better than wedge
edit:
link fixed...thanks splat

sh!
But yeah, that would work perfectly. Integrating the slider and seat mount =

i got sparco sliders when i bought all my gear, but i ended up returning them when i saw how high the seat would have been....i fiddled with the base some (sparco mounting hardware does suck, but the seats are amazing), and i'm very content with the outcome...a truly fixed racing seat. i can't imagine needing it to slide anyway, actually...now short people can't steal my chit
haha, aleph and i have been bitching about sparco mouting hardware for a year! my sparco evo is bolted in place, no slider thanks. the bucket definitely sits much lower than stock.
yea i used sparco sliders wirh the wedge bracket.
it was 3 piece and i think the middle piece that the sliders attach to the base like messed up the flow of the seat adjustablilty, likebinded em ? i got it worked out but was a pain in the ***.
the piese that connect the tabs for the forward/back movement was like 3 in off, i needed to bend the hell outta that . it looks ok now , but it needed major work .
yea if i didnt need all that cluster **** of parts, the part where i had to zip off the bottom holes deff woulda made it eaiser and better movement and placement if they could find a way around that

man, this seat bracket stuff is brutal.... just find a local fabricator, they can do whatever you like.
to fabricate will cost more though.
thne your paying for time on top of product and materials.
i see the price almost doubling

Edit: You do have to cut off the bottom mounting position hole on the front of the slider to get the lowest front position possible. Rear setting is fine.

yes, its deff mroe comfy than the itr seats and much more support and holds in better. I have back probs and think this might help or at least feels like it will. the itr seats bugged me becuase the padding was sooo thin , you could actually puch on the front and the back and touch your fingers. . . . try it . youll see. well thats not enough to support me confortably.
its just gonna take some time getting used to the bigger bolsters and the seating height part.
my *** is getting fatter so it fits in there snug, but confortable.
ill post some pics soon . hopefully my new pc will come in today. . if not ill try and load em at work or from school tonight

if its a bucket your using why not just take the slider out and have it set at exactly where you need the seat to be. That way the seat would sit a little bit lower.
I had torino's before in my prelude and they also sat higher with all the mounting gear. but with my brides now its actually LOWER than stock

I own the sparco's torino's myself and the brackets are ****** and fit
like absolute crap for the price. The seat is awesome though and my big
rear feels nice and comfy in them. On a side note itr206 I see you live in
