do u guys think think this biker boys thing is real, the F&F was true but do people really race bikes? going 200+ and crashin is not fun!

 

To answer your first question, I do believe that this movie was based on a true story.

Do people race bikes? uh... Yes.

Going 200+ and crashing is not fun... weather you are driving or riding, crashing at those speeds is not fun. And for me, at least, is more like 180+. This hobbie is addicting and can get you in trouble if you try to do stuff that you're not used to doing (i.e. high-speed wheelies, stoppies, burnouts, skitcing, etc.)

This movie is not going to create anything that was not there before.

 

OH REALLY! people out here(NJ) only race cars! anybody heard on the t rex? i think its hot *** hell

im sure people in NJ race motorcycles too.

ive yet to seen any street drag racing on motorcycles (other than the 50, 80cc that maxes out at 140km and maybe 160). Ive seen/been/done alot of canyon carving/racing though.

i do alot of racing in a big heliport too. at night, its open for people to go in, and we gather up and just have fun. alhtough its only left turns, its fun anyway. but the best is always at the track. it gets rid of most of my fear

That movie "Biker Boys" was given a rating of "C" by critics on local news here... has anyone seen it yet? Came out today right?

 

a heliport is a ******* airport for helicopters. Biker Boys got the best suprise review on nbc 4... interesting as art campbell, the movie guy, is pushing 50

 

I was watching this 'behind the scenes' show on BET about Biker Boyz, and they interviewed the dude that they based the movie on.

 

dude.. some people mod their bikes. like putting a 2brothers racing pipe and other things. and maybe they paint their bikes with custom paint jobs and other things. but i seriously doubt they ever street drag race head to head like that with sportbikes in such a fashion that they go with a huge group of people and meet at a big meeting area with 100's of people around. and yes, that 200MPH crash was seriously gayness..
i've seen bikers just randomly race other bikes on streetlights, that happens. sometimes i've heard of stories of bikers racing really fast supras, i've heard of riders going canyon racing. but rarely do i see them go head to head ON THE STREET with other riders in BIG groups that have a stabilized rider gang government.
and there are bike gangs/clubs out there too, but they probably don't race like that.
there are motorcycle drags (track ones), with drag bikes. but, i doubt we will ever see the day when people become soo stupid and thoughtless that they get crazy and maniacal over racing with big groups on the street in head to head duels.. i mean that's just way overboard.
maybe it actually happens (before the movie), but it's probably not even happening or very rare.
and the stunts, i don't think people do ALL those stunts on there.
maybe some do wheelies, i saw one guy stand on his bike while riding it (a bicycle), i've seen burnouts, wheelies, going fast, but not some of the stunts in the movie. who da hell would in their right minds ride their bike standing on the seat, who would friggin buy metal footplates just to skid with sparks on the street, alot of things are just fanciful and made for entertainment in the movie.
that's my opinion, folks, ride safe, no STUNNAS please.

what is of canyon racing?? why would a heliport be open for people? what are the mods u can do 2 a bike besides a chip and pipes? do u guys put nos on ur bikes, i saw a bike with nos at HIN!!

people do race motorcyles in real life. they have been doing it for a long time. my dad even raced back in the late 70's early 80's. what would make people think that bikes didn't streetrace? i think biker boys was a pretty good movie. there were some nice paint jobs on those bikes. i don't know about the way they displayed nitrous though. atleast they didn't say NOS

 

what can you do to bike other then chip and pipes you ask. almost anything you can do to your car. Put lighter wheels on then change gearing rations with front and rear sprocket and tansmission gears, nitros, turbo chargers, super chargers, have the heads ported and polished, bore out the cylinder block ( big bore kits), have the valves reground, get bigger throttle bodies, the list gose on and on. Ths dosent include the lame stickers like a lot of lame cars have advertising for the headlights or interior dress up part, they have those also...
Yes street racing is alive and doing ok note as well as the mid 80's but its still alive. I have watched and bet on more bike races (street) then i have car races. i have seen bet over 10K and knew a few guys who wouln't race for under 1K. And have heard of races for 28K.

By the way Lee does very good work I had the original motor in my hayabusa done there made 205HP @ the rear wheel. They do great motor work but there are other better in my opinion place to have turbo stuff done.

this is for HAMSTERBALL...as to riding and skiding on there feet you most have never seen any street bike videos or havent been around bike that long cause that trick has been around forever....they just took it different in the movie and made it look like they carry metal plates for there feet....and as to racing ....I myself have never seen a group go meet other grpups to race...but i have seen alot of bikes race each other ......I myself own a bike and haven been in races and have seen people set up a race for money. The only far fetch thing in that movie was the gangs meeting other gangs to race and the scene where the BUSA was racing for 30 seconds and was only up to 70 mph lol...But in all it was a decent movie with a decent story line.

You could find a healthy dose of bikes at the local spots.

 

Come on guys that movie was terrible! The first scene with the black knights showing up at the races and getting off their bikes in sync. What the hell was that? I didnt think it could get any worse and then the two asian kids joined the "biker boyz" and were riding four wheelers with the street bikes. WTF? And why the hell were they wearing bandanas over their mouths? I was laughing most of the time. Oh wait the best part was the final race when they were going over 100 mph on a gravel road. Ridiculous.

JSPEC west.....It was a decent movie...yea I did kinda think the geting off bikes in SYNC thing was dumb...but as for the 4 wheelers.....lol you obviously never been to baltimore, MD on a SUNDAY. There are 15 year old kids riding on stolen banchess with street bikes doing wheelies threw red lights...and i never would have believed it if i had never seen it. The mask thing what was just like there trademark.....just like nelly with his bandaid....and gene simmons with his tounge....and the RUFF RYDERS always goign around yelling DOUBLE R lol. Anybody who hasnt seen the movie compares it to the F&F and I even thought the same thing until I seen the movie. So for anybody not wanting to see it cause you think its another fast and the furious give it a chance and go see it....**** if your cheap about it go see a matanee $5. Download it from KAZAA if your really cheap, just see the movie and judge it for yourself.
