Yesterday I had a local shop put on my jdm header, cat and exhaust onto my 98 gsr. I got a call from them asking what they should do about the second o2 sensor on the cat. I guess the stock gsr sensor wont fit into that hole. There for I know have only one o2 sensor and when I drive around I end up smelling like exhaust. What has to be done with this. Is there any way to get my gsr into the type r cat? Or is there a way to simply by pass this. Any and all feed back would be great.

The shop should have welded on another bung for the 02 sensor, and if it wasnt possible, they shouldnt have installed it.

If you want the 02 sensor in the cat, you are going to need to take it to Meineke or an exhaust shop and have them weld in another 02 bung.

 

well im gonna need it extended about 4-6 inches as well too..sucks when these shops are only open till 5 and not open at all on the weekends
