I have a CRX 91 with a B17 swap. i still have the stock cluster and everything on it works except the backround light. Break light, engine light, all that stuff works expect the backround light. I dont know what the problem is. anyone help?

Illumination control ****? i dont think i have one, can someone tell me what it looks likeand where it plugs in?

you gottta take the cluster off and theres a tiny blub in their i took mine out when i installed my indiglo gauges. hey where did you get your b17 tell me the specs on it, and how much you payed

Great, ill check later today. My B17 came with my car in peices ovcourse. I put in the R valve train, springs and all. Also got the ITR pistons and had the rods shot peened with ARP bolts. Thing runs very nice.

 

i checked my cluster light and it was busted, so i got a new light. i installed it but it dosent work. I read that it wouldent work without a illumination ****. Anyone know much about it? what it looks like, where to install it. ect.. any info be nice.

 

the illumination **** which controls how bright the cluster light is on the left hand side.
It is on the dash right below your cluster and is on the piece that goes over the dash cover

 

you know what plug it goes into? my wireing and dash is all messed up. so its true? your cluster light wont work without it?

 

check all your fuses

 

yes it is true. i took my contol **** out when i had indiglow's in my car. then i removed my indiglows, i was in the same postion you are in. i just went to the junk yard, viola, let there be light

i have a question if anyone may be able to help
i wired a 92 integra gauge cluster into my civic. EVERYTHING works except the dimmer light....i have the switched hooked up and everything....didnt notice any bulbs blown....does it matter which way the bulbs are put in? i notice some are upside down and some are right side up. i can take pics if it will help, if i cant get it fixed i guess ill go quick fix and put in indiglos or wire a map light to the top of the cluster lol

 

hahaha, wire a map light. sounds like a not so bad idea.

 

when your irritated and pretty broke....anything that works is fine hahahaha but still make it look decent

 

i went to honda today and apperantly there are 2 differnt parts to make the cluster light up. the illumination control **** and illumination controler. they wanted 100 bucks for the controler and 30 for the ****. Walked out pissed as usual, im thinking of making a alternitave. anyone have any ideas?
