I was just lookin into Catalytic Converters for my car, and I was wondering what I need. A 2.25" inch Cat or a 2.5" inch Cat? I have a Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion exhaust on my car and was wondering if it was a 2.25 or a 2.5 inch.

measure the outlet at your header's collector as well as the inlet for the B-pipe
takes 15 minutes with the proper tools

 

your exhaust is neither, it's 60mm which is closer to 2.32. the endpipe of the cat may fit the oem exhaust housing but the flow area should be 2.5 or 2.25, whatever one you choose.

 

I just sold my N1 and ordered that exhaust.. How does it sound?? My N1 was way way to loud...

 

I have that exhust on my GSR hatch with a 2.5 cat cuz i have the JDM dc header with 2.5 in collector. I think the shop could make both of them work.
