Got my new Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust
I got my new Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust for my civic coupe. I love the way its looks and even sounds better. Really nice deep tone, just what i was looking for. Recommend it very much for those looking to get a good exhaust.
Do Mugen exhausts provide much HP/TQ gains? I have never seen a dyno of before and after a Mugen Twin Loop....anybody have dyno sheets or maybe some butt-dyno testimonials?
Is it just me, or does that first exhaust not look like the genuine Mugen Twin Loop? The first picture has rivets around the tip..second picture has a clean tip. Second picture also has the laser-etched Mugen Power logo...I don't see that logo in the first picture. I guess I could be wrong....anyone care to enlighten me?
) which if you look carefully at my first picture you see a little sqaure metal patch , thats where it is. Also the Twin Loop for hatch is an extra $150 just because its more rare!![Modified by jnghiem005, 7:04 AM 1/29/2003]

The welds look like genuine Mugen. They have different "models" for the different kind of bodystyles. Plus, some of them have different tips, this could be one.
Looks to me like it's real.

Twin Loop is like having two mufflers right?

i saw one install d a muffler shop and guys were saying that this was one way of extending the length of the muffler..by passing the air twice thru the muffler..with the mandrel bends going in and out of the muffler there should be no slow down of exhaust while deadening exhaust noise
The muffler itself is an oval shape. The piping flows through the top, then exists and enters back around at the bottom and then out. It's basically a straight trough muffler that re-enters and goes straight through again.
The mugen exhuast really helps the midrange out quite a bit, and the bottom end just a bit. Top end is better, but not a lot. This rear section basically makes the same power as the Apex'i WS exhaust. It's a good street exhaust, but that's it.
I have it, and I really like it. Here's a pic of my very dirty tip...thanks to the "mugen" program on my computer...very riiiiiich.

I like the sound of the mugens cause they're kinda deep, but not too loud, but i've seen a thermal exhaust get 6 more horses on the dyno. I guess it's the twin canister redirecting air one more time before expelling them.???
