Default Radiator Review/Upgrade

Radiator Review
Click the "Tech" link, then "AbsoluteRadiator.com" link.

I ordered the http://www.Absoluteradiator.com since my car was overheating at track days, primarily because I was using a HF radiator trying to cool my B16A.

Some of the things I immediately noticed, the website wasn't lying. It's twice as thick, and about 4" longer than my HF.

For you drag racers who are looking for the edge/further weight reduction, the HF Radiator is 6.5lbs vs the absoluteradiator's 13.5lbs... I would estimate the SI/DX radiator to be around 9lbs. The HF radiator is good enough to cool your car if you're doing street driving and do less than 10mins of a track session. So, it'd be excellent for a drag racer.

I got my two-row steel radiator from absoluteradiator.com last Saturday. It was $140 delivered from CA to KY. Nice perfect fit, a bit heavier but I'll trade that for better cooling. Considered the aluminum ones but couldn't justify the 3+ times the price and unknown cooling difference. Although wider, I think the aluminums are not two row so the water only makes one pass through the radiator and this one it makes two passes through.
