why does my E-break suck??? i
its tight and really tight, but when i pull it, it does not grab and my car can still move. it stops about 6 inchs up. and my break pads are good. i am guessing its the cable. would that be right? and if so, napa should have right? anyone know how much they cost?
yeah its bolted down
like almost all the way, its not locking my rear break when its down, do you think i might have tightend it to much? i am pretty sure it must be the cables. but i just love this place so much, i thought i would ask you [people].

you got new rotors and pads on the back? E-brake function relys on the rear brakes. The more warn out they are , the less your ebrake is going to grab
Stock spec on e-brake grab is 7 - 10 clicks to be fully engaged
If not the pads/drums( depending year/model ) , try adjusting it at the handle, but dont go too far with the adjustment. try to keep it within spec. There's a chance you can adjust it too far and actually cause the rear brakes to drag when not applied. Rust on the ebrake cable can jam it up and make it stick.
hope it helps

Have you adjusted the rear brakes? After you install new shoes in the rear, you have to adjust them so they slightly, slightly, drag on the drums when on and you turn them. You do this by turning the clevis so it makes the shoes slightly touch the drums. With that you will be able to make the rear drums catch when you pull on the e-brake handle.

well i might have the specs mixed up (also did this on a 93 hatch) but i'm almost possitive that ALLDATA said 7 - 10 for the CRX Si . ALLDATA is a online service that provides shop info on almost every car made . we use it at school so i can check again tomorow.
By your description Sounds like you have adj the cable inside the car not at the drums.
This is the correct way of doing it:
#33 will look like a gear to you you want to turn it down(looking at it from the front of the brakes) that will expand the shoes bringing them closer to the drum surface and removing the play you get in your hand brake lever.

That is the way you adjust the rear shoes, so they can make contact with the drum when braking. I bet your rear brakes don't aren't even functioning properly because of this. They have to drag ever so light after the install of new shoes. You do this by turning the drum with your hand. You should feel and hear slight dragging. If they spin very freely, then they need to be adjusted.
Like I said if you need more help on the directions or instructions, just let me know.
