Default few ZC questions

B4 i order my zc (soon i hope) i have a questions.

first: can i use my stock DX axels? they're the same spline as the si's right?

second: do you really have to rebuild (all new gaskets and such) it b4 u put it in? i mean people are getting b16 's of the same age and arnt rebuilding them and they are holding up.

third: what shift linkage shoul i use? would a stock SI shift linkage work (it should right, i mean a zc is basically d-series w/ duel cam head)

thanks for awnsering my dumb questions

use your stock axles and shift linkage.

on the 'rebuild' it all up to you. i would change the timing belt (88 Prelude Si 2.0), water pump (88-91 CRX), along with front and rear main seals (also CRX)...

What tranny are you going to use on the ZC? The DX axels will work if you mate the DX tranny to the ZC.

There is no need to replace all of the gaskets unless there is obivous wear or dry rot.

The stock DX or Si shift linkage will work with no mods.

If you are using the ZC trranny you are going to need Integra axels. The ZC uses an intermediate shaft.

You need 90-93 Integra 5-speed non-abs axels, they fit perfectly, thats what I am running on mine, 89 DX hatch, ZC engine and trans with JDM ZC ECU. 2.5 inch drop and TEG GSR rims. Seriously considering something more powerful if my wife lets me spend the money. In which case I will have a perfectly good running swap ready to sell local thats has had all the parts needing replaced replaced. ready to plug and play.

Dont skimp on the water pump, the engine I got had new gaskets, new belt, but when I changed the water pump it was horrible. I cant see how it managed to flow at all.
