with just the header itself you will notice nothing, maybe a slight change in sound making you think it is pulling harder...add a CAI, test pipe and a full cat back and you will notice some extra power but mostly up top

an itr-made header will not directly bolt up to a GSR...youre going to need a modified cat.

I was going to say something but I forgot. I thought only modifications were needed with a JDM ITR 4-1? Also, the DC JDM 4-1? I'm an idiot though...

i don't know if he wants to do that..being in socal and all. you could have a flange made however to fit onto a carsound or stock cat.

I already have the AEM Custom CAI, Tanabe Exhaust, Cam Gears, and ITR Cams. Thanks for the post guys. I figured i would buy a carsound cat. Curious ive never heard of a test pipe. Might have heard it under a different name.

yeah that will get you hammered hard anywhere in CA especially south

its basically just a piece of pipe custom flanged and cut to fit in place of the stock cat, flows great obviously but would be very very loud

someone has a great diagram comparing the 2 a-pipes showing the differences. I guess if you have a 94-99 the a-pipe of the header will be too long. it should fit if it is a 99+ I am guessing. better luck selling it and buyung a new one maybe *shrugs*

here it is. as you can see the 94-99 has a shorter a pipe. the next question we have for you is what year GSR do you have?

wow after all that you go out and buy a header that won't work. i remember telling you that you had a lot of research to do. and evidently you didn't even bother to listen to me. so now you see what happens if you don't do any research. and buy the way thta header won't net you very many hp. it has a 1.8" interior diameter which will max out your peak hp at around 160. do some research then spend your money-WISELY not just because it was on a type R or is all the Hype in the import scene

HEHE...I got that pic courtesy of www.team-integra.net
Anyway, you can make the ITR head fit you car by either shortening the header length by 4.5" inches (someone correct me if I'm wrong) or get a shorter custom cat.

Actually i did my research. The header i bought, i thought it came off an itr. But it didnt. It came off another GSR to my surprise. I was lookin at the wrong car. Thanks for all your input guys, instead of helping me you were helping my coworker. the one im buying for mine is actually a comptech 4-2-1 which is pretty neat. It only has roughly 250 miles on them and i got them for under 175(the guy gets mad discounts as an R&D Staff). My coworker on the other hand, hes got the type-r. The diagram posted helped him out alot. He has a 98 ITR and he was sort of lookin at the possibilites of testing them out on both of our cars. Looks like that aint hapening. We are heading out to the track tommorow. (I am the better driver though..lol) Ill give you guys the heads up.
