NSX Wheel Sizes??
I walked into a car dealer today and they had a set of white 5-lug 7-spoke wheels. After looking closer, I realized they are NSX wheels. Only one box had been opened. All four wheels are 17X8.5. I always thought that the NSX had two different sized wheels. I am going to sell the wheels but my question is what size are the stock wheels in the US and the type-R model?
I don'y know of any white OEM wheels for the NSX.
The NSX does have different wheel sizes for front and rear for 91-2001
2002 front and rear are the same size.

I went through all my NSX brochures from 1996 to 2001. For 1997 only, any white NSX Coupe (not NSX-T) that was ordered came with factory painted Grand Prix white seven spoker wheels. I don't know how many '97 white coupes were imported but I have never seen one for sale. You may have a set from this particular car that were probably take-offs. If the boxes have Honda part numbers on them, it may very well be a genuine set of factory painted white NSX wheels. No NSX-Rs were ever sold in the the States. They may very well be newly painted seven spoker wheels from a 1994-2001 NSX.
Tire sizes for 1996-2001 NSXs are 215/45 ZR16 for the fronts and 245/40 ZR17 for the rears. For 2002, the wheels are still seven spokers but the spokes are grooved and look different from the prior wheels. They are now all 17"ers, 215/40 ZR17 for the fronts and 255/40 ZR17 for the rears.

Here is the part number. I only have a local Honda dealer. No Acura dealers in my area.
Honda part number: 42700-SL0-A20ZA
Three of the boxes had never been opened. I opened some of them to see what the sizes were. They are all 17*8.5. Thanks for all of the help

White wheels were an option for the Grand Prix White NSX for all years '96-01.
You are looking at four rear wheels. It's odd that four rear wheels would be sitting around without any front wheels. Are you sure that two of them aren't front wheels, with part numbers starting with 44700- instead of 42700- ? Maybe somebody ordered them with the intention of putting them on some other car, then found that they don't fit (with a +60 mm offset, that's not surprising).
You can see this part number listed for '95-98 in the '98 repair parts catalog here. It's interested that it's shown for '95 since no white cars were available that year.
For 1997, no white NSX Coupes were imported into the United States.
Yes, in Japan only, in '93-95 and again starting in '02.

Was there a Type-R version in Europe or Japan?

I'm a little confused. You found these wheels at a car dealer...and now you are selling them on e-bay. Did you buy those wheels off of the dealer and are reselling them? You work for the dealer and are selling for them? something doesn't add up.
I buy cars wrecked and rebuild them. I went to a place that sells wrecked cars to look at a burned RSX. When I walked inside the office, there they were. I got a pretty good deal on them. So, I am going to try to sell them. Maybe someone wanting those wheels, that doesn't want to pay the dealer $1100 each for them, could save some money, and I would make a little in return.
That was exactly what I was looking for. I guess I will ebay each pair separately. Thanks for the help.
You might want to post a link to your auction in the h-t.com classifieds, and in the NSX parts for sale forums on NSXprime.com and nsxsc.com
Good luck.
I've seen preludes with those nsx wheels before, chances are they will fit your ITR
And front NSX wheels (which is probably what that Prelude had) may be a problem because the centerbore (diameter of the center hole) is larger than for the ITR. At a minimum, you would need hubcentric rings to minimize the lateral sheering forces acting on the lugs, and hubcentric rings are not easy to find.
