How and where to sell a GSR
Seems these days the only people that want GSR's are kids who have 3 or 4k under book value and expect you to sell the car for that.. What happened to when these cars where extremely hard to get and sold the second they went up for sale.
I have a 96 that ive put a lot of money into and is mint yet its not saleable. People say that mods dont add value, but then these people go and then do the same modifications you have done spending tons more money to do it themselves.
Anyone have a good suggestion as to where to sell a gsr for more than the price you should get for an ls

That's because when you have all the mods, they think you ran and raced the car hard, even though you know you may not have.
Mods = less value
That's why a lot of people put their car back to stock before selling it.
BTW, there are so many other options out there now that a GSR isn't that big a deal anymore.

The more mods makes the car depreciate....My cousin wont touch his audi because it could up his warranty. But consider your car is a 96 the warranty prob ran out. Mods dont really mean anything unless you sell it to someone whose into racing.

unfortunately thats true... unless you got some mods somebody doesn't want to deal with themselves and is willing to pay for like a CLEAN engine swap.

You're also in Maine. Probably not as much of a demand for that kind of car. Try selling it in NYC/NJ area.
Also since the RSX came out integra prices have dropped.

i wouldnt say that mods = less value but your decreasing the field of candidates to buy, how many people do you know would want to buy a GSR with a wet fogger nitrous system and a T4 turbo with a fully built suspension yadda yadda yadda, not too many the car would still technically be worth $X,XXX but there will be far fewer people willing to pay that price than there will be those willing to pay whatever for a stock GSR
The problem is, if youre mainly trying to sell it on Internet boards, youre in the wrong place. All you will get is lowballers and people with no money who want to spend $10k less than a fair value...everyone is looking for that "killer deal" and nothing else...just the way it is.
Try cars.com, your local papers, autotrader.com, thepartstrader(although youll get tons of lowballers as well), etc. Advertising on HT will get you mostly lowballers.

do what i used to do, put your car in some of the higher selling papers where you know people are looking in for cars, put it in at a fair price, i always went about 5-6% below book and evaluatre whether its perfect good or fair condition fairly when someone calls you if they attempt to move your price at all tell them its not negotiable and if they persist then just hang up and wait for the next call
