I have been looking for DA original mugen sideskirts and rear apron for nearly two years now.I already have the original Front bumper and wing.I am to the point were I am about to give up looking especially after what I am going to tell you!

I didn't think anything of it when I responded to the classified ad above that was in the recycler.For those of you that live in southern cali you know what the recycler is its a pretty good place to find used parts.Anyways I finally got hold of this guy on the phone about 8:30pm and went to go look at his kit.He asked me a couple of times on the phone when I called (quote: Are you going to buy them?)I told him I don't know I have to look at it first!I thought that was a stupid thing to ask over the phone but when I went to look at it I think I know why he asked.

So I get over there and park by a 90-93 integra like he told me to do.I didn't see him so I called him on my cell phone.After I called him he and two of his friends came out from the total opposite side of the street,he then split up from them and walked towards me while his friends walked the opposite direction.He walked up to me and made it obvious that he was looking in my car to see if I had any other people with me.I was thinking what the hell is this guy trippin on he acted very sketchy.

He then told me to follow him and started walking down the street I was very sketchy following him so I asked where the kit was and he just replied its at my house.I was thinking maybe he was at a friends house or something. As we walked almost completely around the block he told me the kit was not really his it was his friends that was in hawaii.Right then I knew the kit was a fake and he just didn't want to take the rap if I knew it was!

So he leads me to the side of his house where the kit was sitting and to my surprise the two friends that took off the other way are back there pretending to lift weights on a weight bench by where the kit was.I looked at the kit and of course the kit was I think the crappiest body kit I've ever seen.Immediately I got this feeling like a bad vibe!Why the hell were they already back their before us and why did he lead me almost completely around the block.I then remember he asked me on the phone If I was going to buy it and thought that was kind of strange (more like he was asking are you going to have money on you) 1 of 2 things was going to happen that they had planned 1.They were going to jump me cause they thought I had money on me!Or 2.He had all of his friends around in case I knew it was a fake Mugen kit and I got pissed.

I immediately told them that I would have to come back out tomorrow because I had no money on me because the banks were closed. I also told him that I just wanted to check it out because I only needed the sides and rear only anyways.So then he starts trying to negotiate with the sides and rear.I told him you have to ask your friend its his kit right?It was funny because he just stood there kicking himself in the *** for telling me it was his friends.I then kind of walked backwards out the gate and left.I had to drive back around his house to leave and noticed his friends were getting in a riced out 88-91 civic hatch and leaving I guess they were just there because I was looking at the kit.

Later he called me again I guess he was returning his messages and didn't realize he already called me.He asked me if I still wanted it I told him that the kit was fake and thanks for the waste of time Now I have learned my lesson never go look at parts without your friends I hope this guy gets his for trying to sell wack *** parts for real deal pricing.

Dude, that whole deal sounded sketchy. Sounds like you were dealing with some shady folks. Glad it didn't end up as another "My teg was stolen" thread. Thanks for the heads up.

Yup... that's why whenever I meet people to pick-up or sell, I take my roommate... and if I can't... then I meet them at a very public parking lot near a Starbucks... That's the great thing about living near a campus... there are always people around.

 

damn thats suck ghetto ****... like first of all, even if they did jump you... you kno where they live and you could get ad records from recycler so they musta been a bunch of ****** dumbasses to be tryin to pull a stunt like that. Anyway... glad to hear nuthin happen.

 

and I was supposed to roll with you and you didn't want to wait . Patience is your friend and so is the phone to call me.

man i sure hope these ******* weren't from Hawaii or someting (since he claimed the kit was in Hawaii, i'm assuming he just chose the first state that popped into mind). i hate wen stupid people give a place a bad rap. ne wayz, dat was sure some shady **** and i'm glad u got outta there unharmed. at least u learned a lesson, never roll alone.
