what do u guys think i could pick up an old civic hatch for at a junkyard no engine?
or at a repo, or just a messed up one i am on a real tight budget i need a cheap old crx or hatch body so i can swap a b16a1 into it. or does n e one have an old body lying around i dont need interior or engine or n e thing just the body and axles.

i wouldnt give a junk yard 5 bux and a kick ni the ***** for a car they have, they are always killing them things with fork lifts and Lulls

up here "junk yards" get mad when you call 'em that, they like to be called "auto parts recyclers". The ones I go to strip the car, tag and catalog the parts and everything gets put on a shelf so depending on AZ you might have a harder time finding one that is still intact. You'd be best to find one w/a bad engine/clutch in the classifieds...or buy one from that other dude.

I bought mine from a crappy little dealership for 900, ya know, those ones that you pass and go, "who'd buy a car from there?"

 

I got my 90 STD hatch for $550. The body is in pretty good shape. Front fenders are dented but there are no rust spots on the car. And mine had an engine that was running. It was burning oil like crazy so I swapped another engine in there real quick. If you want just the shell, you should be able to get it way cheap...Find one and just tell them what you are willing to spend on it.
