please advize him to be responsible for his actions. making the already high insurance premiums worse is not welcomed

so take the boost controller out and bring it back to full stock and bring it back to Subaru, if its not still under warranty then suck it up and accept the consequences for your actions. If an insurance company even slightly suspect fraud you can/will be arrested and you will not be out of the clear until a full investigation is completed. And if they decide to be real ****** they could put suspected fraud on your record, kinda like a bad mark on your credit report and then good luck ever getting insurance anywhere again. dont do it dude trust me or tell him not to do it, just fix it, it will cost you a lot less money and aggrevation in the long run
but anyway yeah sucks to be him, but atleast now we all know you can blow a WRX with 20lbs

And, WOW, he is really smart blowing the engine on his $25,000 automobile. I have started to misshift before and heard the engine rev abnormally---then you immediatley push the clutch back in!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure his credit will be toast within 3 months. Street racing dumb anyway.
Here's to hoping he ends up driving a $500 civic with 200,000 miles on it
Yeah, but it's the power train so it should be covered, just dont tell them how it happened. Tell you friend to put his car back to stock and take it to the dealer and atleast see what they can do before he makes the car "disappear".

...I take it you won then?
