Default CRX vs Civic HB

Ok heres the issue...I have a 1990 Crx Si with a 2 1/4" custom bent pipe, my brother has a 1991 Civic CX HB and needs a new exhaust system. I want 3" exhaust cuz I am going made turboness hopefully this summer. so my questions are:

1) Would my 2 1/4" pipe work for my brother?

2) How hard would it be to mate the 3" up to a stock si header while my turbo motor is being built?

I can answer that. I had a 91crx si that i had just bought an tanabe RM for only 3 weeks. The car was salvage and so i took off the new exhust. I found a 90 civic si and when i tried to install the exhaust the only different was about 6-8inchs.

The area where you want to exstend it is on the strait pipe right before the large HUMP over the rear-passenger side lower control arm. Most exhust will be 3 pices, and usally have a connecting part at the same spot. I went to Home-Depo and bough a 2.50inch steel piping and just had my friend weld it on. Works great & sounds nice.

The header actually bolts to the Cat. So you would have to have your exhaust meet the backside of the cat. All a muffler shop would do is make a custom flange with 3" pipe to mate them up for you.

Thats cool. Just take it to a shop and have them fabercate an adapter flange and you should be all set.
