Engine Noise after Being Turned Off
I ran my 94 GSR low on oil for a couple hundred miles and with some redlining (the oil light did NOT come on and VTEC still engaged but sporadically) and it does a couple strange things that are worrying me.
Now it idles funny. It goes from 1000-1500 rpm for a little while but if it warms up enough it idles at 900 rpm. If I drive it enough, it will idle at 600rpm like it should.
Now for the really worrying part - when I turn the key off, the engine continues for a half rev and kind of "clunks" and then stops.
I am going to take it in but I wanted to know what I should be expecting...or maybe it is something I can fix myself?
Thanks in advance for any help.

the rev/idle problem is more than likely your IAC valve is blocked and causing a fluctuating idle, i dont think its related to running your car low on oil. The clunk noise you mention sounds woryying, i cant imagine what it is but if it were my car i'd have someone look at it ASAP!
