Fair maybe, but cheap for a 16 yr old...no. My teg was a fortune to insure and I had it from when I was 20 to 23. You're going to pay around 200/month.

I have allstate and pay about 100+ a month for my 94 GSR. But that with an older teg, clean record and being 23. Search around but don't expect it to be too cheap to insure the N0.1 stolen car in the US.

no matter what u will be paying a lot for u'r insurance... since u don't have a driving record and no pass experience... signing w/ u'r parents is just another way for the insurance to get more people to join them but w/ also discount for new customers... but search around, but to make sure u get a decent deal, just go w/ u'r parents

Yea, I doubt your parents are going to be willing to switch to accomodate you. Going with their policy will be way cheaper than going out on your own. Just FYI, my number was with Liberty Mutual. Try http://www.esurance.com. My s2000 is 175/month. 24 yrs old.
