there's a lot of choices out there for valve springs. search on yahoo and get some titanium ones.

I've got a nice chip for your setup. You'll definitively benefit with the high lift cams.

Let me know if you're interested. PM only please.

webcamshaft.com has them for 425 and exospeed has them for 330, but i don't think you need upgraded springs for that cam, if i remember the specs correctly, though it may be wise to freshen up with some new stock springs

If your stock springs are within spec then they are commonly considered better than new ones. Seasoned (used) springs that are good have been proven to not sag or loose tension. A new spring is expected to sag and then you are in the process of figuring out if it's a "good" spring again by running it and then checking it later down the road to see how much it sagged.

before you buy any valve train upgrades think about how often you take your car up to 8 grand...then think if 330 is worth it for titanium valve springs...IMO they arnt worth it unless your building the entire motor...not just a cam.

not only that but if the lift specs of the cam aren't with in the specs of the spring, you'll need to upgrade

yea, no such thing as titanium springs.....

i use my stock valvetrain with 100,000+ miles on it with my stage 3 gude cam with NO problems. of course, i dont rev past 7000. if you plan on revvin past stock rev limit, then aftermarket springs and retainers are a MUST.

our sr909 cam will work fine with the stock valvetrain as long as you dont have a super beat up old motor with 250K miles on it. as long as you only rev it up to the stock rev limiter, then your kool. what most customers say when they do get the sr909, is that it does want a bit more RPMs to get the full effect of the cam. its true and it does work way better with headwork and the valvetrain. I have the same cam in my SOHC with valvetrain and revved that sucker to 8K almost everysingle day for 3 years. it was fun hearing that motor scream to 8K. of course its not necessary to take it up that high. 7700rpm was good enough.
also, titanium is not necesarry, aluminum retainers are good enough for the SOHC and have been proven as well in racng conditions.
feel free to chat with me on this if interested. i can be reachd at AIM: exospeedAMcrx or email me at exospeedam@yahoo.com
