I bought my car in july from a guy. Very nice guy he seemed very sad to part with his integra, but he had to get a truck for work and couldn't afford both cars. I got it for 7200. It's an LS... at the time it had i/h/e pullies, and full ignition with some monsterous 17s (white ). I changed out the rims, lowered it and got a new clutch and flywheel and a head unit.

He quit the job that required the use of his truck and now he wants something fast. Apparently he saw me driving and likes what i've done to that car. He's willing ot buyt it back for 8k when he gets the money for selling his truck.

The only reason i'd sell it is to get a civic, put a b18b in it and finish my turbo kit. I have a nice polished turbo and a nice intercooler, but ran out of money for the rest of the stuff. I have it planned out to get an EG hatch or get a normal civic coupe and b18b for about 5k. i can easily finish the turbo and hondata s100 with boost + other fuel stuff with the remaining 3k dollars.

Sound good to you guys? I'm gonna miss the teg, but it's for a good reason ... what do you guys think?

First, I want to say good job getting rid of the white rims ....but I don't want to tell you to get rid of an integra. I love integras and would never trade it for a civic or hatchback, although that is a heck of a deal you have in front of you.

 

Trade a civic for a Teg? HELL NO! Keep the Teg and turbo that biotch!

 

It comes down to what you want to do. If you sell that LS for $8K you are going to have more then enough money to do what you want, including the price of the car. But you are going to lose any luxury items that you have now and be just another Civic, fast or not.

You know I never saw it that way, it's just another Civic-fast or not. That's a good point. I'd would probably still go for a fast hatch back Civ. I love the hb.

 

that's exactly what im thinking... as far as girls are concerned, i drive an acura.. not a honda... but then again there are like so many "hondas" that are like twice as fast as my car. As shallow as it may seem, i am concerned with the "luxury" items... but compared to a civic, they consist of the emblems, and the A on the steering wheel.

I'm gonna go test drive osme civic and compare how they feels to the teg (not performance wise, just the feel of the car). Then i'll make my decision.

I could have a car that runs 12s, with 1000 bucks left over for some racing seats and a cage + a helmet so i can run at the track safely. as opposed to getting a job and slowly getting enough money to complete the turbo kit... then i'll have to build the motor cuz in another year it's gonna be well into the 100k range. then another several months for engine managemnt... blah blah blah...

the financial side says "what are you waiting for? ditch the teg for the civic"... but the conservative side says "excuse me... you have a nice car, just stick it out and wait till you got the money"

im new to this forum but i'll tell you my newb idea anyway. sell it for 8k and get a GSR!!! i just got one for $7K with 75000 miles. you'll have around $1K left for mods....

gsr = more expensive on insurance and 1000 wont get my hondata s100 with 720cc injectors, rev hard manifold, downpipe, wastegate, blow off valve, piping and time to tune, not to mention GE sleeves, JE pistons, eagle rods + acl bearings...

 

sell it back? hell no, he might put those white 17" back on ... hehee

ryan, heres my honest opinion, one i think that car fits u, it will be weird seeing u in a civic. two i think u should finish your project u started. 3 i want the ******* civic hatch swap dont get it. 4 that ******* civic will be CHILL as ****, what r u doing go for it. i think it will be chill that u can say i have a swapped motor (just a thought). do what u think is right, i have no clue. your car will be sick with a turbo, but u seem all talk because you will never get it done. getting the civic and putting the engine in will be a fun learning proccess, and u have money to spare. u can get your turbo onto the strip quicker with the civic. think this one over either way its all in fun and games

 

there is absoulty no point for him to get a GSR. his car is as fast if not faster then a GSR with those mods. I can vouch for that I have seen his car. I would keep your car Ryan it is sick as hell and looks nice plus that is one less integra we will have at the car shows and what not. Keep your teg its sweet. that thing with your tubo on it = good times.

i think it's pretty much set now... b18b civic and complete my turbo... i want a street warrior, not a gsr killer

my car is equally as fast as an i/e GSR. It might pull on it slightly, but that's inch by inch. i want 12s or 11s dammit... 11s!!!

If you want the speed the only way is the civic for the bang for the buck. Plus its not like civics look ugly, I think you could grow to like it as much as your teg. Plus you would be happy with your affordable street monster and that guy would be happy getting his teggy back. Its a win win situation, unless you like the teg so much that its worth spending more money into just so it wont be as fast as a hatch ls turbo....

that's EXACTLY how i see it... he gets his teg back, i get the turbo ls i've always wanted... just with a civic body And everytime i hear people say my car is teal it makes me sick... i just scream out "it's paradise blue green pearl, jackass." so im looking forward to a black civic.

I think a nice black EK, with CTR head lights, black rims, and maybe a cf hood (maybe not... too flashy, might get stolen). hmm, i can't wait.

Sell it. If you can get $8k then go 4 it. You should be able to get a GSR for that.

I wouldn't pay $8k for an ls even if they had a gun. If you have a sucker willing to pay that much for it, then dumping it is a no-brainer.
