ls and gs tegs??
i know of an ls/vtec but i never here about a gs/vtec? are they not the same moters? or do people just call it ls/vtec? if anyone know what the deal is hit me up
i might be wrong, but LS and GS dont come with VTEC. if somebody has an LS/VTEC its b/c they did a swap or something to make it that way. ls and gs are b18b1 and gsr and type r (which are vtec) are b18c1. i could be wrong but thats what i was told
I think the question the original poster was asking was whether or not the motor from the LS and GS tegs are the same. The answer is yes, they are both B18B motors. I think LS's are just more common than GS's and as such, was used in the coining of the term LS/VTEC. However, I guess you could call it a GS/VTEC as well if you want.

i am aware of the call numbers for the moters i was just thinking about the ls/vtec but i just never herd the term gs/vtec or rs/vtec....but it really doesn't sound right if you call it gs or rs vtec!! but that is probably becuase we call it the ls/vtec!! thanks for the opinions!!!!!!
