Default DSM Injectors and Hondata

Does anyone here have Hondata controlling DSM injectors and not RC? How is your start up when either cold or hot? When hot I have to press on the gas pedal to get her to fire. I wonder if the DSM injectors are causing my problem. We tried different values for the cranking adjustment but nothing helped.

Anyone using DSM 450's in their Hondata setup?

I will be using them with Hondata soon. I will let you know how well they work with my setup. Ya posted this about 2 weeks sooner that I could help you.

I used them with Hondata and they worked fine. No difference from the RC440's that I had switched from.

I've used both 1G and 2G DSM 450cc with Hondata. No problems at all.

Well, that's good to hear. I was going to opt for some rc 550's because my dyno session is next sunday. I was thinking the DSM's were my problem.

I have to press the gas for it to start. Once started it smells totally rich then it clears and idles ok. All three of us run DSM's/hondata and have the same problem.

Anyone have ideas?

Did you get the dsm's used? Did you send them out for cleaning? Well, I have the same problem, but my tuner said it may be because of leaky injectors...not leaking from the fuel rail or anything, but once you shut down your car, a little bit of the gas gets trapped in the chamber...something like that...let me know what you think

That's a good point, Tegman.

My DSMs were cleaned and balanced by RC before I used them. The spec sheet showed that they were definitely in need of it!

Yes, the DSM injectors were cleaned and ready to go. I also used the OEM Honda resistor box just to eliminate any problems.

Three of us have this problem and we all are using DSM 450 injectors. It makes me think they are the problem but if you guys used then with success then it must be a software issue.
