1st gen b16a Throttle Body TPS gasket question???
Does anyone know if the gasket for the TPS can be replaced or do I have to replace the whole throttle body? I took it to the dealership and they said that this piece is not serviceable and said I have to buy a whole new TB. But, another friend said that it is replaceable.
its not really critical ......
But vacuum could get past the throttle shaft....
You could cut one from universal gasket material from the parts store... or just put a very thin layer of o2 sensor safe silicone
good luck

The reason they said that is because the TPS sensor is riveted on I believe. There are ways of replacing the TPS sensor, it might be threaded but have no head, if so use a dremelt to cut a slot in it and take it out with a flat headed screw driver.
You should be cool with silicone unless your going to be adjusting it .
As the paper will let your adjust it and reseal it....
Like the deal said..... you have to buy the hole Throttle body..
And thats no fun
Good luck
cheers

Yeah, it was actually some idiot that was not helpful. One of those parts department guys that didn't know jack **** because it didn't have a part # to it on the computer. I just need to put it back on no modding or adjusting.
