i know you buy the roll and the hose clamps, is it s sticky roll kind of thing? or do you lay down the silicon spray underneath, or over.

how have you guys done it? and what about wrapping over the flex, do you think it would "flex" the wrap loose?

basically just post how you guys have done it , results, do'd, dont's, pointers etc. links for teh cheaoest wrap.
i'm making a dp, aluminized steel, i was thinking of painting it with maybe silicone spray or high temp rustoleum to protect , then wrap,

FWIW, i wrapped my stainless DP and it cracked with in a couple of months. the easiest way to wrap it is to have a friend help. first get the wrap wet, then wrap the pipe. when its wet, its easier to install, its also less itchy. when the pipe heats up and drys off, the wrap tightens up a little.

i didnt know about wetting the wrap...no wonder i was hella itchy after the install.
