Default Just put in the J's Intake

Well, I guess this will be part review, part questionaire.
First off, does any one actually use the blue hose that comes with it? I mean, I just use the stock tubing. For those who dont know what I am talking about, its the piece that connects to the valve cover. It had like three additional tubes attached to it so I figured I better keep that chit on there...

Now for the review. This intake is WAAAAY up there on the butt dyno. I dont care what people tell you, the throttle response is considerably better than the stock setup I had on there. I keep the tubing from behind the bumper so although its a short ram...it still gets cold air fed to it in addition to the air from the engine bay.
One thing that I absolutely LOVE is the sound. City driving is just perfect. You can't even tell the difference from stock. If you are barely on the throttle, you will have no difference. Dip that angle a little bit and it will get throaty...hammer that thing and it will get FAWKING LOUD. From a first gear full throttle launch to redline and the second and third gears, I cant hear myself think.

So someone ansnwer my question and this intake KICKS ASSSSSSS! Thanks to Mike M at IPS

I would really like to get this intake. how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking...
did you do a baseline dyno so you can test your power gained.

Well, price is price. I know I will get criticized for shelling out 250 for an intake but I think it was worth it. Its well crafted with solid design. I didnt do a dyno run though, not worth it for just one mod. When I will do more, I will go to stock and baseline it before I add more mods.

I think it IS louder than the CAI that I heard in a EK9 Civic SI. I am just using the stock arm of the ITR from behind the bumper that connects to the resonator. All I did was remove the rubber arm from the TB and the resonator box and filter; I left that piece under that which feeds air from behind the bumper.
