braided stainless steel fuel line
I need to replace my fuel line that goes from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. I have seen somewhere a stainless steel braided fuel line for this application. what i need to know is what is the size of the stainless line and what fittings do I need to buy to make one. TIA
You can get just about anything that you would need from companies like Earls, Russel, Aeroquip, or Goodrich.
If you are uncomfortable making up the hose yourself, here is what I'd recommend;
I live in Los Angeles, and it's easy to find "race" shops that do nothing but make up custom hose. However, if you know where to look, just about any city has this sort of shop. Try looking for places that make replacement hydrolic lines for things like fork lifts or the such. How about lines for heavy trucks. Most of these places are willing to help and KNOW how to put the hose ends on correctly. (although it's not really that hard) Most also have the ability to pressure test the line.
What I'm getting at is that you don't have to limit your search to places that only do race cars.
Wes.
