GSR Fire pics that caused me to get the ITR (Finally got them up)
Some people asked me if I had pics of my 2K GSR that caught fire,
Here they are, I finally put them up on my site, here are a few!
(BAD = Bye bye GSR, insurance stress, ITR searching stress)
(GOOD = Getting the car I have always wanted! and loving every second of it.)

those altezzas are just too hot.
my guess, fire started from a cig or electrical fire (due to stereo?)

electrical fire due to stereo? does that actually happen?

jes. as with any electronics it's possible for them to burn. Cap's in particular are fun to burn if you ever get bored. Diff cap's will burn and shoot flames of different colors.

Yes it was from my stereo and from fuel. The amp had a short I guess, maybe static... not sure, but it blew and I suffered minor burns. 1/2nd degree, nothing permanant. Just looked nasty for a little while and it was a little uncomfortable.
Fuel was in the back from an "empty" gas can. I smelt gas and the rest was history... I think it was just the empty can with accumilated fumes... just a unusual situation.
BTW: The lights were "carbon fiber" and I got them for free... so I had them on for like 2 weeks... never liked them, I was planning on taking them off anyway. I didnt even take them off after the fire, I kept the stock ones
kept a lot of goodies from the car. I knew the engine was sold before it even reached the junk yard; hence, the GSR on my R
