First night of tuning and already focked **** up
im out with my buddy trying to tune the ems, got a good afr going, then i was trying to get the automap to work, but then said screw it, my buddy went home to get his GTI 1.8T to see just how fast my car is....well we go a few runs...thought i smelled something a little funny. just figured cuz my partial throttle was a little rich.... get home pop the hood, and this is what i ******* see
if anyone has this a/c line around, please sell it to me asap!!
as for what i was thinking....i have no idea, i figured it wouldnt melt that **** w/ a couple short boosting runs
on me. P.S. Dustin, i want my money back, your fans melt too easy

yeah actually, its not bad.....i had a fairly decent basemap, just hella rich

that's nothing..i spent $800 to tune , my engine blew up, then my boss took $70 out of my check for missing a day to go tune, and i'm on salary....
if anyone has this a/c line around, please sell it to me asap!!

yes of course i beat him, but his **** is pretty quick, he is chipped, greddy type s, boost controller, and a 3 inch downpipe.
well, even with the old drag dump tube, it didnt melt the a/c line it was pointed towards..
PS. I have a wastegate elbow sitting in my ****** room. not welded..... i was gonna just use a dump tube instead since the wastegate doesnt come close to the jdm hood
the radiator is fine, but it melted part of the fan.

**** man, I know that feeling! I've done it too! Cept when I did I didn't have a hood on and my ac line was rubbing against my downpipe and eventually burned a small hole. All the freon then started spraying out from that hole and it looked like I had a purge valve or something!! haha, anyway, I plugged up those holes and I'm looking for new ones but I hear they're quite expensive. As well, I'm trying to find out if I can use a copper tube and place it in between the goo sections of hose and just cut out the charred and burned pieces and then clamp them on. I just don't know how much pressure there is in ac lines.

the exhaust temps are crazy high straight outta that wastegate
i have to admit, i've never seen anything like that tho...
good luck on getting everything put back together
get a dump tube on that thing immediately!

Dumptubes are your friend. Don't sweat it, we all make little mistakes here and there, it's the best way to learn.
