... does anyone know if a short shifter for an 88 civic will work on an 87 civic... i know that they are different gen civics but i couldnt find any kits on ebay for a 3rd gen civic... lemme know... thanks...

Pacesetter and DC sports both make them. Now as for using 88+ short shifters it wont work. The pivit ball on the 84-87 is alot smaller then the 88+.
