Default b16 vehicle speed sensor questions~

hey guys another first gen jdm b16 question. how does the vss get hooked up EXACTLY? my vss is dead. all the other gauges work fine. is it a vaccum line? any help and pics would be splended!!!

Do you know that the VSS that came with your swap is electric not mechanical like the stock motor? Your stock gauge will only read mechanical, so use you old one. If you are using the SiR cluster you need to wire up the elec one.

i have my stock gauge cluster. its just i dont know exactly how to wire up my vss. please help!!


edit i have a 90 crx si. put in a jdm first gen b16. all gauges work but vss . thank yous.

you dont need to "wire" anything. You can't use the one that was with your swap, you have to use the one that was in your car before.

Edit: I don't remember, you may have to swap gears with the 2 VSS's because I thought the Electric one was bigger.
