Best cams for a JDM H22
Anyone try the skunk2's on the h22??? They seem to be the cam to get for the b-series, I know when I get alot of $$$ saved up I will go with the skunk2 stage2's. I would like to see the gains on the h22 though...
Type S cams feel really good on a H22 motor after 5500 rpms, but you need the Type S valve springs also if you plan to rev high on the motor. This was with a stock JDM H22A with a Spoon P13 program.
I know a guy who tried out Skunk2 cams but blew his motor up because he used oversized valves, when Skunk recommended against it, so he never got the chance to fully utilize or feel how the cams would work in his motor.

Stage II IN. 0.505, 270 EX. 0.465, 275
Doesn't look like the USDM Type-SH are that much better than the JDM H22A and the JDM H22A look better than the Skunk2 stage 1 and maybe even better than the stage 2!

Don't get crower. My friends have had nothing but bad luck from them.
I would suggest Skunk2 or Type S cams.
or get the ef-1 cams
(search for more options)

screw aftermarket cams...everyone i know that has them, arent running very good at all....id say stick with the stock cams..theyll make plenty of power believe me...the onlt ones id eve look inot are the JUN ones...but like i said, i think theyre a waste of money, unless your going to build the bottom end up high compression to utilize the aggressive ramp speeds ect..otherwise your wasting your time and money...peace
I am running the type-S cams and I am more then happy. They made a huge difference and the price and quality you can't beat. Plus now that I'm going turbo I'm not screwed into having to buy new cams.
