Default minimum & ideal M&H slick pressure..??????

It’s the 1st time for me and my CRX using M&H racemaster slick (9x22x13).
What is the minimum pressure for this tire , before the middle palm of the tire get wrinkled ???
(some people says if we run too low pressure the tire wouldn’t touch maximum contact with the track because the middle palm didn’t actually hit the track)

Any suggestion for ideal pressure to run ???

i guess your best bet would be to start with 8 then drop to 6 and see what happens

keep in mind that track conditions, air temp, car set up, and driving style all play a big role in what tire pressure to use. anywhere from 6 lbs to 9 lbs would probably be your best bet, but it will take alot of adjustments before you find that "right" amount.

Really you should start pretty high and work your way down. Yes some can say start at 8lbs and go low as you need to.... but in general most people probably wont need to drop down that low.
I say start 1t about 12 and work down. Just because its super wrinkle wall doesnt mean its the best thing for the slick.
We work closely with M&H in slick development and research and as you go lower in tire pressure, the middle part tends to cup as you launch. Which means, less traction. You are losing contact patch on the middle while you try to make it up by using the sidewall. Watching videos on slick behavior during launch resulted in suggesting to try to stay at around 10psi if possible. You can be at 8lbs and get 1.8 60fts, but why go that low if you can do it at 11psi.
Remember, as you go lower in tire pressure, it affects the MPH at top end.

<---- 1.7 60ft at 12psi 22x8x13. dont need super low tire pressure to get a good launch

is that on a turbo car? n/a will be likely make more power in the 60 unless you are building a decent amount of boost at the line.

no tnecesarrily... lower than 12 psi. I ran a turbo gSR at 11psi. it liked it at that tire pressure and was better on the top end. Its just driving style and HP combinations. Im not saying keep it high in general. you have to find whats best for you... my point is, dont assume that being at a low pressure is the for sure way of hooking up on the slick. you have to find the right psi that works for you...
