Default IMPORTANT! EXPO Dyno Participation

I need to get an idea of how many people plan on making dyno runs at the event.

I need to determine 2 things:

1)If there is enough interest to justify the effort

2)How we price the time (there will be some cost associated)

Ed - I'm doing everything in my power to get the dyno down there. The challenge right now is finding a trailer. I was originally going to haul my R down, but now I am planning on driving. Part of our deal with the dyno owner was that we would get the dyno down and back at no charge to him.

Is there anyone coming from the west with a trailer that might have about 3 feet of room for the dyno?

If its there, I will play on it. I plan to have my car completely tuned as good as possible before the Expo so I wont need any tuning. It would just be for fun.

I would be interested in some dyno runs but how much are we talking on prices here?

Ed, I formally challenge you to a torque off.

SMSP - Who may just have to do some 4" tubing.

Dynapack 3000

Prices will depend on the number of runs we can get lined up. I'm thinking between $10 and $20 per run. That's about half of what you would typically pay.

Interestingly enough, I spoke to Dave this morning and from what I gather Steve seems to think I might be able put down a run or two in the 525-550hp range.

Torque will be lower, of course.

That would be awesome, But remeber this will be a Dyna-pack not a Dyno-Jet, The numbers tend to be lower.

I'd be quite happy with 400-450 for a few demo runs.
One bar (15 psi positive manifold pressure) would probably yield somewhere around 350hp, so there's some room on top of that.

Might need a bigger intercooler soon!

LOL!

I've recently picked up a copy of Desktop Dyno by Mr Gasket.
So far ... I haven't gotten too far with my simulation.

If the cost is under 20 per run then I'd be going on to see what Kinda power I have...

Maybe by then I'll have something to tune
