Default 450ccs, vafc, b16, and NO turbo yet. Can i run it??

Just like the title says. I have a b16 that is a few days from being turbocharged.. Im installing the 450cc and VAFC before i put the turbo on so i can make sure there isnt any problems. I can run the 450s with the vafc and lower the fuel and it will be fine correct????

Thanks for any help

why dont you just go ahead and install the vafc and wait and do the injectors later? I mean, they take like 20 minutes to do at most

yea, i wouldn't put them in yet. If you do, i don't know how much going -50 the whole way is gonna lean them out enough.

I third that! It's not point to put them in just wait and do it all at the same time.

Yes? then why.
Why will it run really rich if he has the means to adjust it?

The answer is that it WONT run really rich if adjusted properly with the vafc.

I just don't know if -50 is enough to compensate for all that fuel that all.

Yes, it is more than enough. Please dont tell people it wont work, unless you know for sure that it wont. The fact is that it will work, and at less than -50%.

First, read what i wrote from the beginning. I never said it wouldn't work. I stated i wasn't sure if it would lean it out enough. I never stated for a fact that I knew it wouldn't work or not. I was also thinking about how my car reacted when my afc was stolen and was just running overly rich. I forgot that he wrote he had an afc.

It should not idle any differently with or without turbo, if you turbo is spooling at idle you need a bigger turbo .

He was asking if the injectors and vafc would work without a turbo, and someone said it would not idle right. All I was saying is the idle would not be any different.

Thanks for the responses. The reason is i see all these people do like 15 mods to a car all at once, then cant understand why it runs funny.. So i wanted to do the vafc and make sure the car drove and no CELS.. .then put the 450ccs in and lean it out and make sure i diidnt get any cels.. THEN put the turbo on... Ya know...

thanks for the responses.. and IIII got the last word. ahahaha...

thanks guys...

I just don't know if -50 is enough to compensate for all that fuel that all. [/QUOTE]

-50 isn't enough we built a CRVtec it had RC450 and a v-afc we played around with the afc and every time vtec would come on it would fall on it face it would run fine the rest of the time. put in smaller injecters and it run fine.

I've had 450s and an SMC with no turbo in my car for a month. It idles perfectly, but its rich as hell everywhere else. Hopefully the turbo install will be done this weekend, that should solve my problem.
