if youre going to get a cf hood and paint it then i say get a fiberglass hood and paint it. youll be like 300 bucks ahead and it will save on weight as well, not as much but still...

persoanlly id love to get e cf hood, its the one part of the car where swirl marks are visible and any imperfections in the paint stand out the most imo.

I don't see why you'd want something that doesn't match, and if you guys all think it's "JDM YO", how come king and everyone using the mugen cf hood paints it

 

Don't paint it. Just get a Fiberglass Hood if you are going to paint it.

 

Do what the **** you want to do, don't worry about everyone else.

I personally like the CF unpainted, BUT I would not put a CF hood on my car because it attracts too much attention. When I see a car with a CF hood I automatically think they have a swap or something serious under the hood, and if I think that, I'm sure theives and other jealous haters think the same thing.

 

the mugen hood isnt cf(for the integra)...do what you want, its your car, but to anyone but your kr3w...it probably looks like d00 d00

 

hmm, I got my carbon fiber hood not because of the weight but because $350 towards a front end or kit won't cut it. Simple and clean, so I got the hood. I think it goes nicely with a 2nd gen crx because of all the black mouldings and trimmings on a red car. So $350 is cheaper than getting the front end or kit and the weight is just a bonus. Oh yeah, the engine bay doesn't seem as hot as w/ the metal hood and heatpad.

 

Put 500 bucs into your engine.. your car will be faster that way... If you wanna save 30 lbs.. only fill up your tank half way whenever you fill up.. there you just saved about 80 lbs..

CF hoods look alright on SOME cars of a certain color.. but usually they look shitty and completely kill the looks of the car.. paint that **** man.. Not to mention Hondas and Acuras atract enough attention from haters as it is.. I think someone tried to break into my hatch tonight when i was at the mall.. Right now i have my steelies on.. so the only thing noticable mod wise is my 2 inch drop.. CF just screams out steal me i have mods!

 

im going to put a CF hood on my white '00 hatch and not paint it...
