Throwout / Pivot Bearing Replacement.
When replacing the clutch and flywheel I was told to change the throwout bearing, however, the pivot bearing was not as important to replace.... I would like to replace both.... the R have 53,000 km's on her - 3 years old.
Any sugeestions?
Thanks.

Only 53K and your replacing the clutch already? Seems quite fast to replace unless your changing for a performance clutch.
When you do change it, i always recommend changing the throw-out and pilot bearing as well as re-surfacing the flywheel. Don't forget to grease the shaft for the throw-out bearing if your doing it yourself.

you seemed to have answered your own question. IF you want to replace it, replace it. even the throwout bearing isnt a "mandatory" thing to replace w/ the clutch, but its recommended.

seriously though, the throwout bearing and pilot bearing are cheap, and they should be replaced everytime the clutch is replaced. that would suck to install a clutch and hear the whine of a throwout bearing 5,000 miles later.....
thanks guys.... I am replacing the stock components with a kusk loc clutch, act extr. pressure plate and Toda FW... as well the JDM FD is also going in...
A FD install, is this mucho complicato?

i might be wrong, but wheres is a pivot bearing on integra? most clutch kits for integra will include release bearing which a good idea to replace if taking transmission out..

B series have a pilot bearing, H series do not. The bearing is on the back side of the flywheel.
