Default Lookin for a Rex *Thumpa thumpa thumpa thump*

Sorry, reminded me of a song...

Anyway, I'm looking for a 88-91 CRX to buy and I'm wondering if theres a site or something I can get specs on all the different models and such. What should I stay away from, whats a common problem in these cars and stuff like that.

Can anybody help me out? I don't want 2 DSMs anymore

Well, seeing that my car that I tune/race is a DSM, I still am pretty different in that type of term, but when I wrote that I wasn't referring to cars...

I love the weight of the First gens, but alot of them that I find have carbs (don't wanna mess with those on a daily) and they are kinda too much of a box for me.

Edit : Nice catch though..

watch out for quarter panel rust, and if you're trying to get one to race, get an 88hf

The worst thing on a crx (next to body dmg ) is rust. GOOD GOD THE RUST! I've seen really nice looking rexs and then when you get closer you see the rear quarter panels and they're totally rusted through to the other side. Anyways, good site for some crx info is crx.honda-perf.org

You want rust? Try restoring a 59 Bug chassis with a 67 body. I have about 10% of that chassis left after I cut off everything I had to, I think about 30% of the body is still ok to use. Roof, dash... Thats about it.

Finished Chassis, working on body... HOLY CRAP!

Edit : Thanks for the link Yellow!

Yeah, rust for sure. They have some good pointers on lots of CRX-specific sites, such as http://resource.crx.org, and you can try the one the other dude gave you too. Oh, and http://www.crx.org might have some stuff.

Stay away from dx due to wiring, get a hf if you want to go fast, or a si if you like a sunroof for cruising. 88-91 look better but 84-87 are lighter. Just depends on what your wanting to do.
