Default Is my exhaust raspy cause of the cold?

I just bought a 2000 civic si and it came with Greddy PE, and it is raspy as hell and it sound like bees fighting in a tin jar... Is it cause it 25 below 0 or does the greddy system just suck that bad?
Thanx

well thats pretty cold, *** that ****, i thought 35 was cold, about the xhaust it could be old, i had a Hayame catback on my 97 ex cpe, bought it brand new, it souded great, deep, but not very loud, i had it for 2 years and it started sounding rassppy, like ****, so i took it off and put a apexi n1 on, totally different sound, louder, but i liked the change, anyways with the old muffler the packing was loose, you could tip it back and forth and it sounded like there was 10lbs of sand sloshing around, i guess after 2 yrs it just wore out, but another thing is, with every honda i've ever had, when you just start the car, before its warmed up, it has a rassppy sound, but once it gets warmed up it sounds normal?? just my thoughts

yea when its cold like that, it sounds raspy. once the fiberglass warms up in there, it starts absorbing the sound waves alot better.

You said that you just bought the car look to see if the catalitic converter is still there if it's not the raspy sound wont go away no matter of the temp.
