hummm, i guess someone doesnt like competetion

I cannot really comment on the situation, considering i do NOT know the history behind it. But as a "company" or a "business" that was VERY unproffesional of him. Goes back to not being able to handle competition. My .02, take it for what its worth, But let the haters hate. The people who matter and have actual $$ for SMS products, wont pay attention to some online mad mouthing.

It's simple, he see's that a lot of people on this board are partial to your service, and your product, and his envy gets the better of him, resulting in accusations.

Reading that thread only makes an SMS cat-back even more.

why.. why is there such bad blood? i am sorry if this question was answered.. but i am just wondering. was this dispute spurred way back in the past?

edit: i give respect to both exhausts as they both have proven to make power, BUT, it is obvious and evident who has the better... character. john may be trying to point out differences and sharing knowledge, BUT, he should have done it in a respectful and thoughtful fashion.

and your point is???

i've seen this go on for sometime now, and the post was to see pics of an SMSP exhaust. what point did hytech need to chime in unless he has a pic of an SMSP exhaust...

:edit: i'm voicing my own opinion and not speaking for anyone here but me. just because of hytech's attitude that i've been seeing i wouldn't buy **** from him no matter how good it supposed to be.

He claims he gets flammed a lot on this board and know I know why. It's not very professional to jump on to a post about someone else's product to take personal shots and degrade their product. He simply should have stated his theories on hi flo exhausts and the benefits of what he has to offer

looks like he never responded. i don't know all the details about your arguments but I think it would be better if the owners of both companies leave the judgeing to ones that have the products. The war between who is better than the other is getting old, and you are all suppost to be adults. do what you do, and do it as best you can, leave the bitching to the babies!

David is just trying to figure out what happened.

Hytech just butted in and called him stupid, pretty much.
I think it is very simple, if you have a business you should not be acting like a child. If you can't hang with the competition then you shouldn't be in the race to make money. It's all about what each person thinks is best for him or herself, crying, calling names and compllaining is not going to get you anywhere.

edit- added a word

I like David If I ever had any concerns of going with an SMSP exhaust system they are all gone now, not only can he make a great product, but he also is a great business person.

to Dave, Mr. SMSP.

He provides prompt service and is quick to answer questions, even from me.

I tried once to ask questions of hytech via email (long ago) and got no response.
That was all the response I needed. That and hearing you have to wait FOREVER for his product.
That's unacceptable to most of us looking for parts for our daily driven, weekend race-mobile, unlike those that can wait 3-4 months between race seasons.

Sorry if this is considered flaming, but the recent attack on SMSP was completely unwarranted.

No one has been bashing or even comparing hytech and SMSP in some time.

If he is so interested in bashing Dave, I ask this of Mr. Hytech:

Edit: Can you provide service for ALL of the people that use SMSP's services AND your own customers? I doubt it. If he were to suddenly disappear, all of us who have called upon Dave would most likely not be able to get the same prompt, attentive, FAST service as we get from Dave. Heck, I can't even get an email response. That's what it boils down to for me. You don't want us as customers, and bash Dave for what reason??? I don't get it.

Arguments like this are for a court room. Unless John has patented and documented his design thoroughly, he's out of luck for substantiating any of his claims.

Welcome to the US. The invisable hand is pushing. Work harder, work better, but leave the slandering at the door.

I'm not partial to either SMSP or Hytech.

Having said this, I don't think John @ Hytech should be called any names for his opinions on what an exhaust should be.

At the same time, since John doesn't support any face-to-face dyno shootout, so he gets the dis from the board.

John makes really nice stuff that works flawlessly. Dave makes some really nice stuff as well.

No, the dis from the board was because he disrespected our 'face-to-face dyno shootout' with more explitive deleted saying David was manipulating the test, etc. He never apologized, and that's my personal beef with him.

As far as his out-of-the-shadows "hit and run" on David, I find it sort of entertaining, actually... I had a big smirk on my face when I read Dave's reply (which was long overdue IMO) ...... hitechex = owned. Props to Dave for not budging an inch this time and still being unbelievably professional.

Seems to me, every time John opens his mouth he gives Dave more business.

Anyways, ITR764 pretty much sums it up with what I said awhile back.
