Where is the fluid coming out of, I know you said the right rear brake, but can you be more specific. Example: brake line, or leaking out of the drum or caliper.

you most likely wore your pads down to the metal and your cylender is leaking, take off your drum and look at how much pad is left on the shoe, if its wore down all the way sometimes the cylender pops out and leaks, thats if the leak is comming from the inside of the drum, if not you might have a rotted hard line if the leak is comming from behind the drum, if its that it will cost $5 for a new line, but either way you need to get your brakes bled now and if you don't know how to do that take it to a shop
watch out, my stuff went like a chain reaction ... a little $30 caliper job went to a $350 brake overhaul...
a new wheel cylinder will cost u $20, not very difficult to do... then u must bleed the brakes afterwards as said above

yeah my brake was on metal for a while but i didn't fix it in time. it s a drum. so you think that this is the problem? what would be the steps to fix the problem? and about how much do you think it would cost?
thanks again for the imput!

if your brake drum was grinding when you stopped then i think this is what went wrong...........it wore so far that it popped a cylender out and jizzed brake fluid inside your drum, if thats the case then you hopefully only need a set of shoes for a hack job that works, and put the cylender back together, drums are imposible to work with so make sure you know how to put all the peices together before you start to take them apart!!!!! hope that helps!!!
my bad i have disks i thought i had drums but nope so it should be easier.
all i should need is new pads and some fuid right? the resevor never emptied so i shouldnt have to bleed right? and how do i go about getting the cylinder back in the caliper?
thnks for all the help!

well now its a totally different story, sigh, all that typing for nothing, maybe i won't give you advice this time lol, kidding, ok since its disc you most likely broke the hard line, but can you please look for the leak so you can tell me where its comming from.............all of what i said before was about drums, that dosn't happen to discs................
the leak is comin from the caliper piston and the pad was gone! it must have fallen off...opps! so does this mean i need a new caliper?
I agree with miracle joe. I had the same problem with my 89 civic. it was the bleed nipple that was broken and all i needed to do was buy the new nipple and re-bleed the brakes. if that doesnt work then i dont know what to tell you!
