Default Is my oil pan cracked!?!? (pics)

Pics taken from my 00 Odyssey. It looks cracked. Feels really rough yet no oil comes out.
No more warranty either.

No it looks to be just the surface of the AL casting. Dark pics but that is common with the process they are using to cast those pans.

**that is if you are refering to the spiderweb looking patterns**

Yes I am. What is the benefit of this process? The B-series oil pans are black I believe.

There is no benefit..or problem with it.

- Bseries pans are stamped steel pans with black coating
- This pan is a cast aluminum alloy, the spiderweb pattern is only left behind do to the casting process they used.

Thanks. Just a different manufacturing process. Maybe it's the way they make it in the US/Canada since the car is made there.

If it is cracked, it will leak oil. If not, it's not cracked. Simple as that, so stop stressing.
