Default Jackson Racing on SOHC

Just like it says, does anyone have the Jackson S/C on their SOHC and what do they think about it.

Yes. Go turbo. You will desire it later.

I was wanting to go with the supercharger since there are a lot less problems I thought with the supercharge you still had about 140 the the wheels

from what I hear jrsc's have their share of problems. Plus you can go turbo for cheaper and put out a lil more then 140whp

thanks for your feedback. I know that Greddy has a turbo kit out their for the 00 ex ( what kind of price is it) how many other good kit are on the market. I just came of the Edelbrook web sight and I see that they are going to have a turbo kit for my car soon but I have the factory fog lights in my 96 hatch and i don't thing that an intercooler will fit with the lights in. ( I would really like to keep the lights)

just to let you know, to kind of steer you away from super charging...

the D15B7 had a bigger power gain than the D16Z6 with the same JRSC kit. So, I don't know what engine you have, but you'll get the most power for the buck from a turbo kit, which has much more room for upgrading.

i have the JRSC on my Sohc D16z6 Vtec.
i have the basic bolt on header and catback. i like it. its reliable, its instant-on power, and it passes the inspections texas has now instilled. its good stuff, but i personally dont think its worth the $3k+-.
i got mine for $1800 new and i wouldnt pay more than 2k for one though.

Check Honda/Acura dealers first man. There's a Acura dealer in my area that sells JRSC, Comp Tech, and AEM. As long as they install it for you, there's a pretty good warrenty given on it.

I have a good friend that owens a shop http://www.theshowzone.com so I will have no problem with the install or warranty as long as JRSC will fix whatever breaks on the supercharger. I am also going to send them some pics of my car to see if they might give me some type of discount it would be sweet if they would send me one free. But I have heard bad and good things about the supercharger I am not really looking for massive hp more like reliability.

i had a JRSC on my old 95 SI HB. it was quick...i had NO problems what so ever, and the car was very very very easy to maintain. i was only boosting 6psi, and it breaks into 14's on street tires with full interior easily. i also had intake, headers, ignition and exhaust, and the car ran clean. great instant boost. with all that stuff, i passed smog with NO problems, and best of all, it came with a CARB legal sticker that you place under your hood in case you ever get pulled over. overall, Jackson Racing = in my book.

Hey, that's a great answer to his question.
Why waste my time. This has been asked 15 million times. And there is a grip of info all over the web on it. #1 its not any cheaper, #2 there can be a whole shitload of problems with it, #3 if you go over 10psi of boost your actually not going to see as high of gains as you would with a turbo. GO ahead argue it, I've already been there.

for the 3000+ your gonna spend on it, just do a GSR swap, get honda-reliability and make MORE power.

hmmmm...why don't you do a little more research on single cam's before you make that ignorant statement.

Also I wouldn't get the sc unless you find a really good deal. IMO 3k is way to much to spend for the amount of power you make. Spend 3k on a turbo setup and you will be very pleased with the outcome.
