Default Does anyone but Mugen make a 26mm Rear Sway Bar???

1) I'm wondering if the JDM 23mm rear sway will make a noticeable difference

2) If I need bigger - -Before I go spending big $$, I thought I'd at least check if any other manufacturer's are making the 26mm rear sway for the R.

Thanks in advance! (didn't find anything worth while in a search).

1) Yes a 23mm will make a difference, small but it was noticeable.

2) Saner Performance is/will soon be making a adjustable rear sway bar for the ITR. IT will be a little different in design but the medium setting will supposedly be higher than the Mugen 26mm bar. Best part, price was expected to be about 190-200. I'll be getting one sometime soon

I'd be a happy guinea pig if that's going to be out soon. Currently, I have 99,500 miles on a completely stock suspension that's had numerous track days on top of daily driving. The plan is to get some Low-downs by the end of the year if everything works out.

I think, not positive but I think ground control makes a 25mm rear sway bar

there is an equation around here somewhere that has how much stiffer a 23mm would be over a 22mm...its actually A LOT, so I would imagine that a 26mm would be very noticable.

BudMan -- be careful with just a 26 mm bar in the back on an otherwise stock suspension.

After all, remember the bulls-eye you might have been wearing at The GAP!

(diameter of new bar) ^4th power
(diameter of old bar)

ex. (26/22)^4 = 1.95 so 95% more torsional stiffness than the 22mm bar

Not only was the GC bar 1" in diameter it connected to the ends of the LCA so it functioned more efficiently then the ITR bar design.

I'd be careful of Saner. I had them fabricate me a 24 mm bar for my DA and it came out terrible. The bar was the wrong length, and the mounting brackets weren't even close to factory location. This was after a 3-month R&D time.

Just some first hand experience.
