How Difficult to Replace Driver Side Headlight on RSX?
My driver side headlight is out, I assume the bulb is shot. It looks like a complete pain the *** to get at. The windshield washer neck is in the way, and even with it moved, there's little room to maneuver. It's also 10 degrees outside.
Anyone dealt with this? I'm tempted to take it to the dealer...

its interesting .. i had to do it about 2 months aga due to a shot bulb as well ... here are my .02 about how to do it from memory...
1. disconnect the battery, remove it, and the tray..
2. the fuse box, remove the 10mm bolts that hold it down and swing it out of the way ( can be done without this step .. just gives you more room..)
3. the windshield washer tank .. a 10mm bolt holds it down and the a plastic clip holds it to the frame .. take them both out and push it to the side.
4. you should at this point, have the abilty to get into the cavity where the bulb is housed - there is a metal clip that you have to unclamp and swing out to get to the bulb .. if you get your owners manual it will give you the direct instructions for how, but only for the passenger's side -- but youll get the idea -
total time the first time you do this anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes - but the dealership should replace the bulb for free .. but it takes them 2 hours ...
anyways, hope it helped!

Too much work for a cold Massachusetts day...
I set up an appt with Acura of Boston to do this tomorrow AM. I will press for coverage under warranty. The hood latch seems "loose" also. I had trouble getting the hood open to eyeball the bulb situation. I think I'll mention the motor is eating 1 qt of oil every 2k miles and see what they have to say about that.
On a separate, but related note, Acura of Nashua NH has a new driver seat on order for me (under warranty). The driver side bolsters are cracked and flaking.
