Default Street Legality of full fiberglass front ends?

I was in the other post about the hatches and saw the full front end here:
http://www.mmrusa.com/8891Fiber.htm

Now, I need a new front bumper and this is only a few hundred more than a bumper, and it is way lighter in the end, but am I allowed to use this on the street? if so how does it mount, install, etc?

You could use it on the street, but my guess is that it's not street legal. You might want to ask MMR.

Its probably not going to be street legal because they don't use the headlights anymore when you use the one piece front end. And the safety issue is also a good reason too.

OK, I just looked at the web site and I guess you can make them to use the headlights. Now I think I want one now. So does anyone have one on their car on the street. I'm interested.

quote off the website
"You can modify the one piece fiberglass front ends to add headlights and a radiator opening. "

I still dont think it would be street legal though, for safety reasons

My friend has a fiberglass front end on his ek hatch and all he had to do was just cut holes out for his lights and intercooler. He painted it the same color as his car and that **** looked stock.....

Never got any tickets out here in cali for it.....

As long as you had the front bumper support still on and all applicable DOT lights and reflectors, I would think you would be ok.

you need lights, corned, headlights blinkers. cut a hole for radiator otherwise you'llhave cooling issues. saftey is a non issue as long as you have your factory bumper. the 1 piece front end is a bumper cover w/ fenders and a hood basicly. fiberglass is safer than metal anyway. it will break apart disipating forces unlike metal which simply absorb and transfer.

Now that I think about it, there should be no safety issues as long as you make openings for the lights. The hood and fenders and not there to take the impacts, its theframe and bumper support.

Are there any other companies who make these?
